At Bridge Point, our volunteers are the backbone of our ministry. We wouldn't be able to accomplish all that we have without them. When you become a Bridge Point volunteer, you are joining a family of individuals who have a heart for giving back to our community and helping others.
Our volunteer opportunities range from weekly or monthly in or Thrift Store or Hope Resource Center or just for special events such as Christmas Mart or Community Events. Whether you want to be the face of Bridge Point and interact with clients or stay in the background and help sort donations, we have a spot for you!

The Bill Mittas Servanthood Award
Bill Mittas was a valued member of the Canton Local community and serving others was an important part of his life and legacy. He was a member of the Canton South Rotary, Stark County Bar Association, Ohio Bar Association and formerly served on the board of Bridge Point Community Services. He was not only a big supporter of Bridge Point and our mission but also contributed greatly to the vision and growth of our organization before his passing.
In an effort to continue his commitment to serving others, Bridge Point honors individuals (youth and/or adult) that display a passion for community service and helping others. Each year, we recognize these individuals at our annual "A Night of Sharing Hope" event as the recipients of The Bill Mittas Servanthood Award. This year's event will be held on October 25, 2025 at Spring Valley Golf Course.
