How it all started...
In the fall of 2010, a group of individuals from several churches and community groups began discussing the idea and need to work together to help out people in our community who are in need of an extra hand. Members of this group all believed that we should join together, as members of the Kingdom of God, to help our neighbors, in any way we could.
By mid-2011, this group decided to call this ministry, Bridge Point. Our name and logo signifies the idea that we all have to cross various bridges in our lives and sometimes, we need the help of others to get to our goal.

Expanding the vision...
Since 2011, Bridge Point focuses on developing “Centers of Hope” that further our mission and strive to meet the needs of those we serve.
We work in each community with local organizations, schools, businesses and churches to fill the “gap” of resources or services that may exist in that community.
The differences in needs in each community means Bridge Point might look or do different things, based on the needs. We never look to take over or reinvent what good community groups are already doing. We are merely a “bridge” to help them.
Where we are headed...
In the fall of 2023, Bridge Point began the process of purchasing the former Canton South Church of the Nazarene building and property. We are honored to continue serving God at this location and continue the legacy of service that began in the early 1950's.
In November 2023, the 1Hope Center, a resource campus, opened our doors at this location. The 1Hope Center is the home of Bridge Point Community Services and also contains office and ministry space for other groups and agencies who have a goal to help local families grow stronger.
But Bridge Point is a not a location, a store or even a church. We are members of the body of Christ who want to serve others. Bridge Point will continue to work with area schools, churches and other groups, at their events and at our building.
